hey guys! So, right now I'm shopping around for a surround sound system and I'm finding all these great things. My most wanted thing in a system would be for it to connect to my IPhone through bluetooth or some other wireless means. I've found alot that do this but my question to yall is: Do yall know of any systems that I should stay away from, from an accesibility standpoint? I don't want to buy something only to find out I can't use it because all the things that it does has to be activated through a bunch of digital menus...
any input would be apreciated!
thanks,
dan!
I don't know directly, but I have a rule.
If I can't see it at a store, and try it out, I make sure the online provider has a good return policy.
Next, they need to have a telephone number I can call for technical help.
If all these things don't apply, I don't buy it.
Look at the denon AVRX1000 receiver. It hooks up to your home network, and you can control the parameters of it remotely via a web interface.
HTH,
Chris
I think that you will run into some trouble trying to find a system that uses blue tooth to connect to your phone. Most systems these days seem to be touch screen or do not have accessible menues. If you are willing to do so you could get a system and have someone help you pair the phone to the system, but if it ever loses connection you may be out of luck. If you are ok with a wired connection I'd look into a computer speaker based system with a nice sub that would only have a wired connection to hook to your phone and a couple of knobs for volume and bass adjustment. More and more surround sound systems with receivers these days are going to touch screens unfortunately.
